Research

The objective of my work is the characterization of the biological function of small RNAs (sRNAs) in Streptococcus agalactiae. Indeed, bacterial regulatory pathways involving sRNAs are now being elucidated, and their functions are coming to light particularly in regards to bacterial physiology, adaptation and virulence.
However, the current understanding of sRNA function in S. agalactiae species remains very limited. First, we identified by RNAseq 39 cis-acting and 83 trans-acting sRNAs. Now, I focus my studies on the function of those sRNAs and on their mechanism of action.
