Research

I am working on the virulence of African Swine Fever Virus (ASFV). I aim to understand the mechanisms of ASFV-induced pathogenesis by comparing the levels of activation of the innate immune response (particularly the interferon pathway) after infection of porcine cells by different strains of ASFV.
I am also developing new porcine cell line models from primary tonsillar extracts.
