Badreddine Bounab

"Bacterial infections and immunity in ruminants" team member

Research

My research activities focus on studying the innate immune response to mycobacteria responsible for human and bovine tuberculosis, using a murine model and bovine field samples. I am interested in the role of neutrophil subpopulations in the formation and maintenance of the tuberculous granuloma, with a particular focus on transcriptomic signatures, using multi-omics approaches.

Other activities

I am involved in the Master 2 “Infectiology, Immunity, Vaccinology and Biopharmaceuticals” (M2 I2VB) at the University of Tours, during the practical work on transcriptomics, particularly on the use of Fluidigm technology.
