PhD, "Control and Resistance of Macro-Parasites" team leader

Research

My research project aims to understand the molecular mechanisms involved in the activation of pharmaceuticals against animal macro-parasites in order to propose approaches that would help avoiding the development of resistance to the treatment. I am also interested in other molecular markers, particularly those involved in olfaction. I am interested in ion channel receptors involved in the interactions of parasites with the environment (natural stimuli of the host and conspecifics). I study these interactions using molecular, electrophysiological and behavioral approaches. The knowledge acquired opens up new perspectives for the control of pests, such as the design of traps or finding natural repellents.
