Research

My project aims at dissecting strategies developed by the parasite to achieve its life cycle inside epithelial cells.
To identify virulence-related parasite features, I use molecular biology and genetic manipulation combining tissue culture in vitro and experiment in mouse and calf  in vivo.
Indeed, a better understanding of the biology of the intestinal parasite Cryptosporidium parvum is essential for new therapeutic targets identification and attenuated parasite strains production.

Other activities

Teaching:
I am co-head of and teach in the teaching unit "Host-pathogen interactions" for:
- the French Master « Infectiologie, Immunité, Vaccinologie et Biomédicaments » (I²VB) of the University of Tours,
- the international Erasmus + Master « Infectious Diseases and One Health + » (IDOH+) involving three core partners: University of Tours/INRAE, Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona/CReSA and Hanover Medical School.
