Research

Maintaining one of the few louse breedings in the world, I search to identify and characterize the genes encoding louse cholinergic receptors. These receptors are major insecticide targets. This will allow to:
> provide advances in the knowledge and the understanding of the louse nervous system;
> lead to the identification and development of new specific preventive and curative treatments of lice and their nits, since nAChRs.
These findings will improve the control of pediculosis, which is caused by lice.
